Children ages 4 thru 6 years begin in Kindergarten and progress through 8 levels.
Our students receive report cards at the end of each semester.
The DSD class prepares students for advanced language exams, the Deutsche Sprachdiplom I (Levels A2/B1) and II (Levels B2/C1) of the ZfA (Central Agency for German Schools Abroad). Passing Level C1 fulfills the language proficiency requirements for admission to German universities. In addition, the DSD exam serves as one of the two requirements for earning a Seal of Biliteracy. The Ohio Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating high school seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language.
We also offer our advanced students the opportunity to participate in the National German Exams for high school students sponsored by the AATG (American Association of Teachers of German), levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Students who take these exams at our School can receive credit at their high schools for them, even if their school does not offer a German program.
